So how many more abortions you going to have or go emanating more times will oh have unprotected sex?! If that's how you got locked up in the first place. If you were my nanny, I would not want you around to influence irresponsibility like that. It's called contraception!! -a Nanny.

Op here again and I have never in my life had unprotected sex, I am on the pill and it apparently failed. I'm married and my husband and I made the decision that was right for us. I have plans to go back to school and he is working on his career. Not that this matters but he is also the only person I've ever been with, so it's not like I've been sleeping around. It is my body and as of now I still have the right to choose.

OP ignore PP. She's (one of?) our resident troll/s. Your private life is none of our business and her purported outrage doesn't even ring true.

OP, based on what you have posted, you would not likely find a lawyer willing to take your case. You can certainly try, but so far, you have no proof that you were fired due to your abortion.

BTW, the litigation loving PP is wrong on many fronts about contracts and "wrongful termination".

First of all, I think this stinks. However, it's not even a question of proof of why the OP was fired. She can be fired for having an abortion. She can be fired for any reason or no reason. Unless she had a very unusual, term contract outlining a specific termination procedure, that's what at-will means.

OP, there is no need to explain yourself. You do not owe us your reasons for doing so, and the judgement from this PP is horrendous. You did what was best for you and that's all that matters. I hope you're able to find some peace.

I guess the baby didn't get a choice.

She already knew that based on the revelation that the contract had expired and did not renew. If she had a specific term in the contract, as opposed to "at will", she would have a viable lawsuit. Contracts are either enforceable or not enforceable, lady, you don't get to have it both ways provided it was correctly written.

I wouldn't define the clot of blood that came out a baby, just like I wouldn't call a seed a tree.

Just stop already.

This thread is not about abortion. Take to the off topic section if you must.

What do you feel litigation PP was wrong about?

Sorry for double post.

OP, I can't help but wonder if your ex bosses didn't renew your contract on purpose. Perhaps they knew they were going to fire you before and were just hoping you'd forget to bring up a new contract. Just my two cents.

I have a very hard time believing OP's boss just happened to go through her purse after her abortion. I doubt that happened and her bosses fired her for another reason.
