Review. How your charge addresses you is important. |
The younger the nanny, the more comfortable she might be with a child called her by her first name. I've heard some children just call her "Nanny". |
*calling |
To whom, to you? I think we can safely assume that the nannies on this board are having their charges call them whatever they're comfortable with and that's their prerogative, no matter what anyone else thinks is appropriate or respectful - or not. |
Are you being ms nasty tonight? |
Not especially, just wondering why old threads are being dredged up for no reason so one person (you?) can try and tell all of us what we should or should not be doing. |
I'm called nanny |
Wow!! I hope you aren't a nanny. He was 1 1/2 and it was sweet. |
My name is Robyn and she (18mo) calls me "Raaaah?" - always as a long, drawn out question. So cute. I wouldn't be comfortable with her using anything but my first name (or whatever cute pronunciation comes out ![]() |
This. |
What a horrible thing to say!! I hope you aren't a nanny. For the record he was ESL. |
The youngest calls me stupid. I already gave notice on my shitty job... |
What kind of family are they? |
The one kind that you have to work 80 hours a week with no extra pay. Making the nanny tired, kids away from parents for too long since they rather go out most nights and every weekend. Worst kind of family ever, don't know why bother having kids. |
Parents can ask the nanny what she prefers. |
