How, in any way, shape or form, is THAT what the OP said? Did she say she wanted to hire/converse with/hang out with only light-skinned white people, not tanned ones? Sick of black people playing the race card. Racism is an issue because you MAKE IT ONE. In line at the grocery store today, the next cashier opened and she told me to go to her register. AA woman behind me accused her of being racist. No, MA'AM, you were behind me in line, and that is why she didn't tell you to go to her register. Shut the fuck up.

Op not sure if you will ever come back here, but we belonged to Gymboree and there was a white French speaking au pair who came frequently. Also some acquaintances in Ss had a white German au pair -

Another white mom at Gymboree cared for another families kid regularly - so yes, I guess there are white nannies in ss

That said AA refers to African-American, thus country of origin. Black refers to skin color. And, believe it or not, some black people dislike being labeled AA for exactly that reason.

And i am not white, so do not claim that I am now racist. In fact, if the reason she posted this was because she only wanted white friends, I would think she was dispicable. But I would NOT yell troll, report it or anything else. Because right now, I have no clue why she posted this. But it is not blatant racism. It is similar to many other posts! Just because it says "white" does not mean it's racist.

With that being said, I will respond to OP. No, not that I know of. You might want to move to a less racially diverse area if you want that. If you want to live here, you are going to have to mix with other races.

Agreed! Maybe she's the daughter of a Chinese-African man and a Hawaiian-Muslim-Hispanic woman and she's merely curious about whether there are any white nannies working in the Silver Spring area. Maybe she's doing a documentary about white nannies. Maybe she already asked on other forums about nannies of other skin tones? Her original post is NOT racist - read the definition of racism. It IS, however, sort of odd and it does make me wonder why she's asking, because if she were to post again and say "I want to know because only white people are worth hiring," well then, THAT would be the racist statement.
