They are childcare providers so they should be eligible?
This phase starts Monday. Great news. |
No. You have to be employed by a center or a school. |
Where does it say that?
She will have documentation she is a au pair. Thanks! |

Frontline workers, so that means yes for daycare, no for AP. |
Maryland is starting on Monday for phase 1b which includes k-12 teachers and education staff as well as child care workers. I don't see anything related to place of employment. I wonder if they would turn away an au pair if she brought paper work? |
Page 10 describes 1b as frontline workers. K-12 teachers and staff and daycare are listed. No other childcare. |
Ours got an appointment for Friday morning. We will see what happens |
I'm sorry, but au pairs should not be prioritized right now. Our kids have been DL b/c teachers aren't vaccinated yet. And, some are leaving soon so they can get it in their own country. Rant over. |
Agree! |
Wait, if they are leaving soon, then they are no longer childcare providers anyway! |
Many many of them are NOT leaving soon. |
Agree, then they should be vaccinated if they will be here for at least the next 3 months or so. If they only have 20 days left, it is questionable to have them vaccinated here. |
But they should wait for 1c if their employer is essential (making them essential) or their age cohort if the HP aren’t essential. |
Our ap saw that a girl who just got here from training class got vaccinated when she arrived.
Super sketchy. Ap is in Maryland with ccap I assume |
I thought CCAP moved to a virtual training school. I assumed all other agencies did the same. |
