I just want to share a few candidates for rematch that I cannot believe have not been sent home. To be fair there are some great candidates who sound like they have asshole families who should be removed too....but why would they keep these women in the pool?? HARD NO.

This one is pissed after SHE totaled a car after 3 tickets. And won't even work during transition. Nope.

Larla requested the transition after the host family revoked her driving privileges following a car accident that totaled the third car. Prior to this accident
she was also issued 3 tickets. Larla was also unwilling to work the 2 week transition period because she said that there was tension in the home following her decision. After careful reflection and a conference call with the overseas office, she understands her missteps and agrees to be placed as a non driver.

Dangerous lack of common sense and abuse???

They had concerns Larla carelessly provided a peanut snack to their child with a peanut allergy. Also cited she woke their child by pulling him by his ankles, out of bed and shaking him to get him to wake
up, although she was apologetic.

Day drinking...

Larla said she was off-duty while the children were at school and asked the other au pair to show her how to make cocktails. She said she was just curious and did not think about what time of day it was. She said she did not drink much and will not do it again.

Ridiculous!!! Though unsurprising. Ours kept leaving sharp objects where my 3 year old could reach them and it was rebranded as a "mismatch in expectations".

The ankles thing is very disturbing. If an AP did that to my kid, I'd pull her up by the ankles and shake her.

These are not CCAP rematches - they would never post actual details....what agency provides this level of detail and expects a rematch?

I mean all those cases are outrageous but regarding AP1 not wanting to work during her transition period? Why would someone trust their kids with someone who obviously have zero common sense and don't even know how to keep a car safe and ''alive'' (an accident happen but 3 tickets means she has zero regards for her safety or the ones of others!) for an extra two weeks?

The ankle thing is dreadful but could see how the peanut thing can happen, I don't think APs are great for kids with allergies, especially if they don't have food allergies themselves, most snacks don't contain peanuts but have been made in factories where peanuts are used and so I could see how an AP would give something to a child that doesn't contain peanuts but will still cause an allergic reaction for lack of knowledge on what to check for.

The day drinking one? Is the problem she had a drink during the day (since she was off)? or that she had to drive and work after she had had a drink? or that she was underage?

Doesn't surprise me. I had one we renatched with because she was texting and driving with the kids in the car and got a ticket. This was the last straw after she forgot 2xs to pick the kids up from an activity.

She was then put in rematch, promoted as a good driver with a Virginia license and the rematch reason was "mismatched expectations"

Where was the ankle pulling girl from? In my country (in Europe) this is how you wake kids up when they want to stay in bed and not come out. It's not like she pulled his hair or something. Yes it's different from what you're used to but not uncommon elsewhere.

Some people forget the families also have to face some culture shock.

Funny, I have no recollection that this is how you wake kids up in Europe, but I am European and I thought that ankle pulling is not a big deal. Serving a child with peanut allergy peanuts is a total deal-breaker though.

These are CCAP rematches. This detail is in the transition document

Yep, we've been reviewing rematch profiles and these made me laugh ... and shudder.

What's wrong with day drinking unless she needed to drive? It's actually worse if AP gets drunk at night and can't wake up the next morning.

Let me guess....CCAP?

Uhhhh...she was drinking while her host kids were at school so she wasn't "working" when she was drinking but she had to pick them up after having drinks (not sure if it was driving or a bus stop situation but either way...nope). I wouldn't care if she drank all day on her own time as long as she didn't have booze in her system when she was working with my kids.

In which country in Europe do you pull kids up by their ankles?

You ask why they weren’t sent home but it seems they will be sent home since no one would ever match with them given this level of disclosure.
