I have many reasons why I wish to leave my nanny family:
Lack of communication between parents
Child that acts out. (Hits and kicks me)
Constant amount of visitors
Being told I don't have to work half the week without notice or pay
The list could go on and on. In my contract it states that I must give a month notice. Which I am fine with. I am worried though if I give a month notice and they see you later I'll be stressed. But I also can't stand to wait any longer. I've had my letter of resignation written for a month now!! Suggestions??

Don't be silly with a one month's notice. These people have already proven themselves to be untrustworthy towards you. Line up your next job asap.

Well the contract states I have to give a month notice!

Find another job that starts in a month, then when you've securred taht give your current family one month's notice. Your new family will apprecaite that you're not leaving your current family in the lurch.

While that may be true, they have no repercussion if you do resign stat.
Zero.

It's not like they can sue you in a court of law.

A judge cannot order you to work an add'l month nor can they make you pay a month's salary either.

If it were me, I wouldn't stay.
Even if you gave a month's notice, trust me they will probably let you go as soon as they find someone or they will make your job tougher and the new dynamic will be super awkward at best.

Exactly. OP is naive.

I am not naive. I do stick to a contract. It's binding document that was signed in front of a lawyer.

Your contract says they pay you only when they need you? You said they lay you off without notice or pay. I don't know anyone who can support themselves like that, unless they charged a very high rate when they worked.

Do you have another job OP? I'd focus all of your energy on that first, and then give notice.

I have guaranteed monthly hours not weekly. There for if they cut my hours back one week they do not pay because I work 55 hours a week and my contract states I have to average 40 hours a week a month.

Why in the world did you agree to that?!

OP, if you can afford to make ends meet I'd resign now and hit the job search hard. This doesn't sound like a good situation at all.

Then give them a month notice. Maybe they'll keep their end of the contract. Is it a mutual notice period?
