Trafficking victims are being locked up because the traffickers are exploiting them for meager pay and to avoid police and law enforement and escape. HFs are imposing rules o keep people safe from a pandemic and to keep all involved safe. Signed--someone who actually works with trafficking survivors.

Not all trafficked victims are locked up. In fact. Most aren’t. You know it.

They are exploited for low pay and little ability to leave. Oh, sounds like an AP who comes here for a cultural exchange and can’t go anywhere.

The program should be on pause.

Many HFs do abuse APs. In OPs situation, that is not abuse. In fact, many APs are pissed off that their HFs are being so dismissive of the pandemic and they don't feel safe and want to rematch because the HFs are entitled and refuse to believe in science.

We follow the CDC guideline because that's the science. No interpretation or feelings involved. It makes it easy for us to manage expectations about us, au pair, and the kids.
