Please don't do this to your nanny RSS feed

I do direct deposits for our nanny.

For anyone who says that their bank doesn't allows direct transfer to other bank accounts: PayPal has now free person-to-person payments. With your app it takes literary 10 seconds to send a payment. No charges to either party if they added their bank account to PayPal account. This is rather new feature (6-8 months). If you are still paid by check, mention it to your MB. It will also do wonders for MBs when they have to collect those $5/person for the soccer team celebration/t-shirts and whatever that everyone wanted last week but now forgets to pay... You can also send "request money" through PayPal, which might take the stress of these reminders.l

People are so weird! I've always done direct deposit. I pay guatanteed hours, so the minimum goes in their account every Friday and if there are any extra hours, i adjust the deposit the night before so it all gets added in.

I bank at a small local bank. Even my bank offers direct deposit.

I'm a scatter brain but I try hard and hope my nanny doesn't hold it against me. I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me to pay her. Today it went off, I calculated the amount (varies slightly each week), walked downstairs, and immediately forgot. Chatted with her for 10 minutes about the kids and it was only as she was walking out the door that I remembered. I apologized and paid her. Another time she had to remind me. I felt terrible but it happens! I hope we have a relationship that allows some slack.

Employer here and you are pathetic. Seriously.

I have to ask my employers for my pay check on the first of every month and remind them of my anniversaries ( for benefit and pay changes as outlined in our contract). I hate ie

You are paid in arrears (work 1 week and receive paycheck for last 5 days of work, not ahead of time) just like everyone else is correct?
Definitely ask what bank they use and try to get direct deposits at least for your guaranteed hours going.
