Non merci. I don't need to beg anyone for chump change my dear. I left nannying behind (encourage others to do same) a long time ago to pursue my education. I am on my way to high wages and starting my own business in about 2 years. childcare is very low paying, endless dead ends, and not much appreciation. I am on this website basically to encourage nannies to get out of there and look for opportunities somewhere else. The end.

I wouldn’t encourage anyone to leave their chosen profession but I willl encourage others to understand their value and worth. If someone wants to work for chump change then so be it. All that means to me is that the actual better paying positions with better employers are still open. I don’t know who you worked for or what you were paid but it sounds like your experiences may have been terrible. Mine have been nothing but great. I’ve always been paid well, with employers who have treated me with nothing but respect. I would never take a position I felt was low.

Yes I agree with this but nannying held me back and I regret working as one all these years when I just should have done what I am doing now. It'll take some time but I am on my way and I encourage other nannies not to waste their time and go after their dreams. The most I ever made as a nanny was $18/h.
