It had been a terrible trip and my sweet charge was sick the whole time. I had one and a half hours off during the entire trip. Anyway, I vented here that I was very unhappy with how MB was handling my charge and MB read it. And fired me!

She has some serious emotional issues and couldn’t stand that I criticized her on this completely anonymous and unidentifiable forum (we don’t even live in DC).

My brother is an attorney and said I could have sued her. I didn’t - I found a much better job within five days with higher rate and much better benefits. And I am happy!

HOLY HELL!! You should have sued her!! That is horrific!!

I am a nanny and do this as well.
I love to surprise the parents with pictures they've never seen and that reflect my time with the children.

MB here. Never went through our nanny’s phone (not ok). We did have a situation in which we traveled as a family and brought the nanny. The nanny was constantly on her phone (unusual for her as she is an older nanny) and this was during the holidays. I leaned in to give the nanny a hug (I was standing behind her) while she was on the couch with phone in hand. When I leaned in from behind to hug her I saw she was saying how she could not stand to be around me and could not last being in the same house as me while I would be on maternity leave for 4 months (I was pregnant with my second child at the time). I mentioned this to my husband who was already livid with her as we had asked her not to sleep in the same bed as our 3 year old on the trip but she did so anyway (common for her to ignore parents wishes and do as she pleased). When we flew back home, my husband said he looked over (he was sitting next to the nanny on the flight back home) he saw that she was writing on her phone how I was a “b*tch”. I had no idea nanny hated me this much as in the three years she was employed by us as I thought we had a pleasant relationship. We did fire her when we came back for a variety of reasons.

You leaned over to hug her? Bull crap! Frankly, from your list, you are exactly what she said you were. Also, your 3 yr old probably wanted to stay in room with her parents but you're too selfish so she slept in bed with the only person she knew who actualy loved her. Why would your husband care if she slept in bed with nanny. I do not niece a word you wrote.

For some reason I decided just take a peek to see if she uses her phone all day long. I found all these photos of MY kid I had never seen. She does indeed text others but it's not too often. I'm just really bothered about the pics and the fact she told me she didn't have a Facebook. She in fact does. Part for me want to confront her about the lie and all the photos. Thoughts?

I hope she quit on the spot and sued you. You ate a despicable person.

You are lying. And deeply troubled if you think anyone believes this.

How in the world would your husband know she was writing about you? How could you see an entire anonymous post in the time it takes to give a hug?

MB here. You are a terrible person. For an employee of three years, don’t you think you owe it to her and your child to find out what was wrong? She is your child’s nanny - not yours!!

And no one believes the “hug” story, Toots.

Why would you be leaning in to hug a nanny?!!!! Not appropriate, hello boundaries!! No one believes you. You were leaning over to read her phone. Just be honest.
