This is just dumb. I don't see that it has gotten you anywhere.

Are you clairvoyant?

NP here and OP is clearly trolling today. Poor slob.

This is completely unethical of you OP!! You had no right to just "take a peek" at your nanny's phone. That is private property as well as a HUGE invasion of her privacy.

Trust me...Anyone + everyone who snoops around is bound to find something that they won't like. Bar none. It's par for the course for sticking your nose somewhere it shouldn't have been. Most people know this.

Do not let on that you looked through her cell phone.

Or you may be left high & dry w/out childcare and be back to square one.

Re: Your child's pictures...I take pictures of my charge too during the day. Most times I send them to his parents, but other times I just keep them to look at when I miss him. There is nothing wrong w/keeping photos in a phone, as long as she does not post them online w/out your permission.

I sincerely hope you are a troll.

I doubt someone would actually do that...

No there are crappy people out there. I had an ex that would go through my phone.
Anonymous
Not that it would be right, but I can see the temptation to look at an ex or SO's phone. No idea why anyone would even think of looking at their nanny's phone!

I really hope this is fake, that's a shitty thing to do OP.

Hmm this might not be a troll. I know some MBs that I bet would do that!

From many of the, posts of MBs. I think most of them would have no qualms about invading the privacy of their nanny.

I was a live in nanny when my MB and DB went through a separation period, during which I still engaged in the platonic relationship DB and I had. One day while one of the kiddos was playing on my phone MB decided to "sneak a peek" and saw a string of text she took the wrong way. When she brought it up I explained everything and DB gave her the same explaination. She was very embarrassed by her actions after that conversation and she should have been. What I have on my phone is none of anyone's business but mine.

As for the pictures, I have taken thousands of them over the 5+ years I've been with the kids and I always share the best of those. I often save ones I don't share.

I think OP was in the wrong, if what is being posted is true!

I have pictures of my nanny kids on my phone that I didn't send to the parents because after looking at them they weren't cute. I don't have time to go through 2,000 pictures of past and current charges along with other pictures with friends and family so they sit on my phone.

If the tables were turned and nanny went through your phone how would you feel?

Op is nothing but a troll.

You should feel COMPLETELY guilty. She doesn't HAVE to tell you she has a Facebook page. It's none of your business.

-MB who thinks you're completely in the wrong.

Agree. Nannies should not automatically trust their employers.

I don’t think OP is a troll as my former employer did this to me. I was traveling with them and my phone was on my bed in the room I shared with their child. It had been a terrible trip and my sweet charge was sick the whole time. I had one and a half hours off during the entire trip. Anyway, I vented here that I was very unhappy with how MB was handling my charge and MB read it. And fired me!

She has some serious emotional issues and couldn’t stand that I criticized her on this completely anonymous and unidentifiable forum (we don’t even live in DC).

My brother is an attorney and said I could have sued her. I didn’t - I found a much better job within five days with higher rate and much better benefits. And I am happy!
