+1 It is always the same pathetic troll. I feel sorry for her but am getting so sick of her. |
No, they won't. It's surprising how many posters are ignorant about the law. It is legal in every state to have a hidden nanny cam. It is perfectly legal not to disclose to a nanny that there is a camera in the home. There are states that have laws prohibiting the recording of sound (wiretapping laws). There are also jurisdictions that prohibit the presence of cameras in bedrooms or bathrooms. Personally, I find it ethical to disclose the presence of nanny cams. |
Which jurisdiction are you referring to in your first sentence? I bet you won't say, because you know you're wrong. |
And the teenage burger flipper lists his PROFESSION as burger flipper on his taxes. Having a JOB doesn't make you a PROFESSIONAL. Look the word up. |
Then please tell us what professional means? Including Professional Model, Professional Golfer and Professional Nanny. Go ahead - we'll wait... |
NP here and I did just look it up: pro·fes·sion·al/pr??feSH(?)n(?)l/ adjective of, relating to, or connected with a profession. (of a person) engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime. noun a person engaged or qualified in a profession. Where does a nanny not fit into that definition? |
I mention the jurisdiction in the second sentence. I highlighted it for you. You can look it up. It really isn't hard to find. It also isn't hard to find the states that forbid the recording of sound. In fact, someone upthread posted a link that lists them. |
Who told you its legal to have a hidden camera and not informing your nannies about it. Make sure it's legal in your states otherwise be ready to be sued and exposed. |
Exactly. Wouldn't she love seeing her name on this forum? |
NP here, but hun reading comprehension might help here. You can be a professional golfer because it is a hobby/pastime for some, but if you get paid you are pro. You can be a professional photographer because instead of just taking pictures for fun you make a living. You can't be a professional nanny because no one is a hobby nanny or nannies for free. Read what you copy and pasted. |
Haha, I would love to be in the room with the officer taking that call when you requested they send someone to sweep your MBs house for nanny cams. You are so far gone you aren't even living on this planet. Wow. |
NP here and I have highlighted what makes a nanny a professional. The poster who is obsessed with nannies not being professionals is a sad little troll and you really shouldn;t get involved with her. We all try to ignore her and report her whenever possible. |
So then you seem to be agreeing with the poster you seem to hate because like she suggested you seem to be trying to say that if you earn money from anything you are a professional. And they said that working at McDonalds would make you a professional based on your definition. I think even though you both are in agreement the point the other poster was trying to make was that no one considers working at McDonalds to be "professional employment" or a McDonalds employee to be a "professional." It's less a matter of what the dictionary says and more how do we generally use the word in this day and age. Personally I don't see nannying as being professional because it is low pay, doesn't require any education at all, and has no certifications or requirements, and lastly nanny is not a legally defined term. |
A MacDonald's employee is a Food Service Professional. NP here and I actually don't care what you think a professional is. I am a nanny and I am a professional. PS Professional golfers and professional models never went to school for their "title". You get paid for a singular job and you are a professional in a singular job. End of story. Like everyone else on this forum, I am tired of this one troll and her minions. |
| 7:43 is exactly right. |
