The post is relevant to the op's questiion and you brought up the name |

J has said will delete all posts with that name in it.
It's a deliberate action, probably by a nanny that is angry that many don't think posting in the internet during awake time is okay and is trying to get back at the MB and get her post deleted. |

I'm not FB friends with DS' nanny. However, I wouldn't mind her posting once or twice during awake time. I stay home part time, and there is most certainly downtime while 2 year old is playing independently. His nanny knows I don't care what she does during that time as long as 1. Ds is supervised and 2. Other tasks still get done (which are pretty minimal)
Maybe I'm just out of touch, but I cant imagine the nanny is posting all that much throughout the day. What could she possibly post about so much? |
Just because it mentions the name of the group? That's really dumb. |
Why is it so hard for some of you idiots to understand that some nannies have PERMISSION to post pictures of our charges. You act as if every nanny who posts pictures is doing so without their employer's permission or knowledge. When I was interviewing about 18 months ago this is something that I covered in every single interview. There were some families that were fine with it, others who were not and still others who had not give it much thought. This is something I include in my contract and have no problem following my employer's wishes. For example my last family did not want anything posted about the children online. While I worked for them I was not part of any type of nanny group and never once posted a picture or description of the children or family. On the other hand my current family has no problem with me posting and sharing pictures and other things about the children. I use my common sense and do not post pictures of their faces or share too many details about their life. My motto is that my Nanny Family and Charges deserve the same amount of respect and privacy that I want for myself. |
| I think nannies should focus on children, do facebook at nap time or at your home, dont post pictures of children you watch on facebook, take your job seriously, its not a game, you are responsible for another human being, why cant you wait for your phone activities |
