$100 bonus and 700/wk .. I also got a $50 gift card to Starbucks and a cheap candle
that could be bought at Walmart for $7.99. Ouch! I've been with this family for almost three years. they're loaded and the only appreciation i get is a $150 a year. My new years resolution? Finding a new job. |
All those nannies getting 400+ bonuses you really need to keep your jobs! I won't even go to those who are taking home more than a week's pay. Some of us just read about bonuses on DCUM and google. |
2012 Holiday Bonus: $62 (rounded up my paycheck to an even number) Weekly (net) Pay: varies quite a bit, but on average 300-400 Other Holiday Gifts: a very nice fuzzy blanket, Williams Sonoma salted caramel hot cocoa mix, Stella & Dot bracelet, picture card of the kids, and new tires on my car! They surprised me-- our mechanic dropped my car off at their house while I was out with the kids, and told them how bad my tires were and that I absolutely needed new ones before hitting the road tomorrow, so they went and got them for me! I was so very touched ![]() Length of Time with Family: a little over 5 years now Merry Christmas everyone! |
I work PT and so it can be difficult around the holidays. My one hour a week position gave me a paid day off and $10 gift card plus let me off early. My other 2 day/wk position gave me 2 days off paid as part of my contract, and a $10 book one of the charges got for me when I stayed for dinner one night during Hanukkah. My other position is 14/hrs a week and I live with them, so nothing yet.
I normally get $200 plus some small gifts from PT (under 20 hrs) live-in work positions, so hoping I get something similar this year from them. I started with them (as live out) last January and so it will also be my 1st anniversary with them soon. Job duties have changed and I started off with just one kid but now I often help with 2, so hoping to get a change in pay as well next month. |
2012 holiday bonus: $800
Net pay:$700 Gifts: a cashmere sweater, north face jacket and treats for my pups. Time with family: 3 months. I was only expecting a shirt. What wonderful surprise! Such a great family! |
2012 holiday bonus: $300
Pay weekly: $300 Gifts: A hairdryer that I had mentioned I really wanted. Time with family: 3 years I am so grateful for my job and my employers! They thank me every day and treat me with love and respect. I've truly become part of the family! I was blown away by my bonus as I had received $150 from them the previous 2 years. And I loved the hairdryer and the fact that my MB pays attention when I tell her things. Just last month I was telling her how much I wanted a $50 skin cream and she bought it for me that day when she was to the mall. She is always doing sweet things like that and it makes me work harder than I ever have before. This is by far the best family I've ever worked for! |
Bonus: 2 weeks pay
Gift: expensive item from William Sonoma. I am a avid cool/baker and they know this. Two weeks off with pay I have been with them a year. I truly adore them and the kids. They are such a thoughtful and kind family. |
