I found a cheap nanny

Who only charges $7/hr and she watches both of my children (under 5). I no many will say she isn't a true professional but the funny thing is, she IS. She's very trustworthy, reliable, has her own vehicle, CPR certified, has several years of experience.

My point is, it's very possible to get inexpensive, good childcare and you don't need to dish out $20+ to get it.

Congrats OP!! You are paying her less then minimum wage. You THINK she is a great nanny but I guarantee she isn't very hands on with your children. My guess? She was desperate for a job and took your position until she finds something else.

I have been in separate situations and I saves and saws and got the hell out. If the nanny doesn't fall into the pity me cycle, then good for her. When she chooses to give up, and makes excuses that's when I won't have pity for her. Also, how do you know she is desperate?! How exactly do you know? A friend of mine took a low paying job because her husband makes good money and she nannies for fun. So this money was like play money to her.
