OP here. I'm not sure if you're referring to me being the nanny? I employ a nanny in Bethesda to watch my kids while my husband and I work. I am not a nanny myself. I don't think my friend (the nanny) can quit because, as least if I understand her correctly, this couple is working with an immigration attorney to try to sponsor her. (Otherwise she has a limited visa, but she is in the U.S. legally.) |
| I am a work from home mom and this this is absurd. I work about 20 hrs/wk and have had two different options that both worked fine...first was my one young child was cared for by a SAHM who I was already friends with and second was when I had two kids I got a space at a coworking space bc I wanted to have a nanny for them in my home. I've also worked plenty in the home office of our 1800 sq ft house while the kids had a babysitter. Its not something I'd want to do every day but its a better option vs kicking everyone out of the house. Now, sure you can ask that they play outside or go to the park but little kids need to come home for meals, naps, downtime. Totally unreasonable of this mom! |
