By start time it was 24 hrs.

24 hours is just a policy, a person can still be contagious for up to a week. I was told by the pediatrician that 48 hours was a good standard, meaning going back to work 24 hours after vomiting very well could be too soon.

Thank you.i appreciate the feedback.
The entire family was still sick. They gave it to me. Nk6 had strep, I spent the entire week with her. Before she had gotten antibiotics. I felt worse on Friday, and I still came. The mom checked on me, and asked if I was alright. I told her I was fine, no worries.

5. I had an emergency and was hospitalized the first week of January. I haven't taken time off since.

I emailed my employers we will talk when he's home in an hour.

Since you are leaving soon, I would just cut my loss & move on from it.

You may need them as a future reference so it is best if you try to keep everything neat + clean until then.

Ive decided to let it go. I want to leave on good terms. They asked me several weeks ago to stay with rhem through a certain amount of time. I agreed. An opportunity came up recently that pays more money. I wasn't sure because of the timing. I've decided I'm going to take it, and just leave this family sooner.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

Sure hope you wait 48 hours when it is your child and you want to send him to school so you can go to work! 24 hours is the standard - you can say what you want but that is what it is!

And if the family had paid you and this wasn't an issue you might have decided differently on the new opportunity. Short sighted on the parent's part.

Or not. Why should she give up a higher paying job?

Because they need me. I don't want to be specific, but things are going on and they wanted to keep the same nanny for their children. Youngest nk starts school soon. It doesn't matter now. I'll contact the other position this week, and make sure I give current nanny family 2 weeks notice. It is in my contract.
