MB here. I can answer that: MB has the nanny come in because she is paying the nanny so she might as well have her there when her family needs a break or doing child-related household chores while the kids are occupied. There is plenty to do with two high-energy SN toddlers.

Not a troll at all. A nanny who has had the same job for 8 years and who knows how to behave professionally at work. We have crazy family visiting all the timE and I'm just there in the background so they can have family time, as per my MB's request. If the family tried to take the kids out it's common sense I would call the mom! And that is why I'm still employed.

Just because there are more adults doesn't mean the kids are being supervised. Remember pool stories where everyone thought the other adults are keeping an eye on the kids?

Had this happen at a pool and the mother told the nanny to take a backseat and then the grandmother told her to stay home and do her chores and six adults took the kids to the pool and one drowned - it would not be the nanny's fault either.
