That all depends on where he gets placed after tryouts with three different clubs

Does anyone associated with the Washington Spirit have any insight for when official offers for next year will be sent out?

I know that their email to players who went through the winter ID sessions said offers will come in "mid to late April" but I wonder if they plan to send offers out before, between or after the April 11 and April 22 ID sessions. I'd love to wrap up our plans for next year as early as possible.

Girls? Does BRYC elite girls have more than 1 team after their u12 age groups? I’m not sure there is a second tier.

Yes, here are their U16 girls pages-
ECNL: http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?teamid=505168

Elite: http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?teamid=699228

Black: http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?teamid=737308

All of which have played in multiple tournaments this year.

If there are enough for a second team, there will be an “elite” team that plays NCSL. I think the U16 is the only one this year. Not sure about the “black” teams. They are parent coaches and are for all intents and purposes are completely separate from the BRYC travel program.

Do the ECNL and Elite teams train together at that age ?

I'm not at the field for every practice, and never for that age group, but it certainly looked like they practice together sometimes but not always.

I'm wondering the same thing. We got the original email but no invitation to these new sessions, so I'm guessing we don't need to go, but haven't heard about the offer timing.

The whole club is at a showcase in NC this weekend so it definitely wouldn’t be until after they return.

I’d assume you are on the back burner while they hope to get better players in April.

Now that would be a real reputation builder for WS... make the promise of an offer, then reneg because they magically found a better player.

I hate to say this. But based on my experience, you might not get offer if they didn't contact you for a significant of time after tryout. You might want to look for other option and simply check with them.

You’re misunderstanding the situation. We received an email shortly after the ID sessions stating that an offer would be coming in April. Now we’re wondering when exactly in April they’ll come.

Oh, sorry for that. Best wishes!

Yes! If a club wants you, they will make the offer immediately. A club is also interested in wrapping up their teams asap, but for the players they are on the fence on, they will wait and see.
