They want what any protestors want - a voice. What is the point of any public protest, any march? The point is to be heard.

They want it to be known that they are opposed to this "person" the electoral college elected to be POTUS.

I'd say get over it. That's life. As much as I hate Trump as our next President, he is our next President. We have to honor the system whether we like it or not.

Sorry, that is not how politics works. People can affect change even with a president you did not elect. You can protest to voice your opinion on matters that are being considered and it can change the viewpoint of others.

Every single lobbyist in DC is getting ready to pay their way for whatever they want. That is how it works.

School Principals have the ability to mark an absence as "lawful," and I am sure the schools' respective Principals will mark these absences as lawful.

My kid has taken a field trip to a farm. And that is educational. My kid has taken a field trip to a trolley car museum. And that is educational.
Perhaps the principal sees experiences, not just instruction, as educational. Perhaps he/she sees one day of activism as just as valuable as understanding the histories of trolleys in our country.

Looks like they are excused to go to the stadium to protest, but not march the streets of SS. Will be interesting to see how this is handled.
