Can't wait to see the suspension of these students being handed down. |
Exactly what are they protesting? The fact he won or what he stands for? |
Bet the school administration will be lenient. As they should. |
Unexcused absence will be on their record regardless of their leniency. That may hurt these students when applying to colleges and it's about time we stop coddling these teens and realize that actions have consequences. |
We'll see - either way, students were no doubt well aware of which action was excused (going on the field) and which one was not (going on the street). |
We had a sit in when I was in high school. Life will go on folks. |
I would think colleges might actually prefer that you are your own thinker and stand for something. But who the hell knows. |
good for them and MoCo police are doing a great job keeping everybody safe. |
One unexcused absence will not show up anywhere that a college will see. I do not even bother to call about errors. Why would they get suspended for missing a class?? MCPS barely suspends anyone anymore. |
SMART KID. I WILL RESPECT THEM |
Good for them! And they ate protesting the election of a racist, homophobic, misogynistic bully. Head in sand much? |
It's not an unexcused absence. Principal already sent out an email to parents to let them know about the protest and how to get it excused. |
![]() Or the university will be impressed they are not sheep. |
Without a letter from a parent or guardian, its unexcused. |
