A "new, softer, introspective" Trump? What a joke!

All these candidates will do is go negative on each other. Thats the only strategy either has with such high negatives

That in turn will have a very low turnout election.... who know what happens at that point
I'm listening to Trump speak right now guaranteeing he'll have 95% of the African-American vote. I can guarantee to Trump that he will NEVER get my African-American vote. His past and current vitriolic speech, shady business dealings, numerous bankruptcies, and a host of other questionable actions guarantee I will NEVER vote for him.

Trump would be lucky to get 5% of the African American vote. Does he think black people and minorities are stupid?

Not only does Trump think African-Americans are stupid, many DCUMers do too. Keep thinking that as we smile and quietly go into the voting booth on November 8th.

Actually...his speech was great and brought up a good point! Have the old political class and failed economic polices of Obama helped anyone? Median income is down and black unemployment is up. The staid quo isn't working. The democrat polices have failed the inner-city

Actually, black unemployment is lower now that it was before the recession.

One insulted some people because they have thin skin and are too sensitive.
The other endangered our security and used a private foundation for pay to play schemes and out our State Dept up for sale...

I'll take Trump over Clinton thanks...

Except that Politico said that Trump lies 66% of the time and Hillary 13%.

I find this sudden interest in the welfare of minorities by Trump fascinating. He has never shown any interest in minorities (other than labeling them rapists and accusation that blacks are the cause of most of American crime). Now that Trump and his Briebert team realize they need our vote, he suddenly becomes the Great White Vote. Well, I remember what Briebert tried to do to Loretta Lynch, Shirley Sherrod, and others.

Trump promises he will get 95% of the black vote. I promise you won't because we have long memories and you showing up for your 15 minutes of 'black time' is BS. Hell, Trump doesn't even have decent black representation in his own company! What a joke.

You don't sound very educated. Trump was never asked a racist until he ran against DemocraTS. He and Oprah are friends, he opened up private country clubs to minorities, has employed many people who are minorities (his top spokesperson is a black woman). Before Obama, Democrats loved him.

No, I am sure he does not. But the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton sure do and their policies and failures in these communities are the proof. Hopefully, "black people and minorities" as you so kindly separate them from the Americans who vote in November will come to see the light and want something, anything better than HRC and her lies and the continued failures of her Democratic Party. Have a nice evening.

Unemployment numbers are skewed when you don't count people who are under-employed.

The seasonally adjusted labor-force-participation rate for black teenagers also sagged from 29.6 percent to 28.8 percent — down 2.7 percent.

During Obama’s tenure, the percentage of black Americans struggling below the poverty line has advanced, according to the most recent Census Bureau data, from 25.8 in 2009 to 26.2 in 2014 — up 1.6 percent.

Real median income among black households during those years, according to the Census Bureau, sank from $35,954 to $35,398 — down 1.5 percent.

The number of black food-stamp participants exploded across that time frame from 7,393,000 to 11,699,000, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reports — up 58.2 percent.

Also, from Obama’s oath of office through the fourth quarter of 2015, the percentage of black Americans who own homes foundered from 46.1 percent to 41.9 percent, according to the Census — down 9.1 percent.

So will Trumpkins. It's that sliver in the middle that typically could play a difference but probably won't. That's where the third parties will play a role. Trump won't win over much with temporary fake humility.

I like "Trumpkins", but I think "Trumpanzees" is even better.

More conservative nonsense. Trump was the one who separated minorities from the rest of the American( read white) people, until polls showed him tanking. You will be seeing the light alright in November, the light of Trump conceding. Let's see you answer that.

Oh, I love that you think so much about us that you use that special little time that your brain is functioning to find a name for our group, so thoughtful of you.

It's kinda like Lyin' Ted, Little Marco and Crooked Hillary?

Yes, but those aren't your words and you didn't take the time to make them up. Now go rest your little brain and have some warm milk and cookies. Nighty, night.

No you are being biased. You offered a statistic without any number or backing. I gave the actual statistic to prove you wrong. Then you offered a bunch of other statistics so you could ignore that your original assertion wrong. You could at least say, "my bad.'

Clintonites are proud of supporting her - although I don't know why b/c she is an embarrassment. There are many silent Trump supporters, however, - people angry enough with the current situation and disgusted enough with Clinton to vote for him. They just won't tell you. We'll see how this plays out at the polls.
