A "new, softer, introspective" Trump? What a joke!

That speech yesterday was laughable. Watching that clownstick struggle through a script one of his new flacks wrote for him was a joke. He looked like a middling fifth grader presenting a book report. The only thing he regrets is that his assholeishness has caught up with him.

Keep on hating. It's ok.

Trump has an anger issue...Clintin has a trust issue and is a known liar.

One insulted some people because they have thin skin and are too sensitive.
The other endangered our security and used a private foundation for pay to play schemes and out our State Dept up for sale...

I'll take Trump over Clinton thanks...

It will be interesting to see how you Trumpkins react when he gets swamped in November. Who will you blame? The media? Republicans who refused to play along? Not the candidate, I'm sure.

+1. Trump reminds me of kids who turn on their best behavior when they want something but will revert as soon as they get what they want. He has been like this all his life and no way can you change 70 years of bad behavior overnight.

Exactly. Like when he mocked that handicapped reporter. People with physical disabilities can be so thin skinned.

Trump supporters will stay the course.

What worries me is those independents and moderates who can now justify voting for him. Playing mind games with themselves because they know deep down he's a racist, bigot, misogynist, fascists, nationalist.

This opinion piece articulates well the rise of Trump because poor whites believe, "No matter how poor you were, there was security in knowing there was someone beneath you."

Now this population finds itself at the bottom of the social ranks (self-inflicted with drugs, anti-education stance, poor work ethic...) and think Trump will change that.

But it's not just poor whites. Deep down MANY whites feel this way.

This election will end up being all about voter turnout. There just aren't enough poor whites to elect him. But if AAs and Hispanics don't turn out, Trump could win by default. That's my concern.

Clintonites will stay the course, no matter what.

Thanks for citing wapoop. Now who is the majority of democratic voters? Poor minorities the white liberal elite want to exploit?

So will Trumpkins. It's that sliver in the middle that typically could play a difference but probably won't. That's where the third parties will play a role. Trump won't win over much with temporary fake humility.

Trumpkins! In light of all his latest affiliations, I love this!

Pretty sure all those entities will get the blame.

Trump's new avatar professed sudden concern and empathy for African American children, gays, people of different ethnicities and all religions.
How is that going to go down with his supporters? And more importantly how long is this new incarnation going to last?

Once Trump finally gets on track it will be very ugly. Quit inserting foot in mouth. Attack Hillary relentlessly

All these candidates will do is go negative on each other. Thats the only strategy either has with such high negatives

That in turn will have a very low turnout election.... who know what happens at that point
