To the mom who purposely rear-ended my DH in front of day care this morning...

How is this an assault? The post reads as if the DH and DC were NOT in the car. Did the crazy lady assault the car????

Okay, call the police and file a report. Even if it's after the fact, do it.

This is road rage and it's a serious matter in this area. The police will take this seriously. If this woman did this in front of the school where she knows she will be recognized, who knows what she may do in a situation where she has more anonymity.

If this occurred as OP has written, this is a woman with little self control. No matter what the circumstances, she used her vehicle as a weapon - and that is a crime.

To the OP, I strongly urge you to call the police, explain the situation, and take it from there.

Really?... Seriously, really? What if she did it accidently?

Let the police sort it out. They will listen to both sides, take statements, and go from there.

If this was in MD, the OP can choose to take it further if the police confirm the driver.

Though, it seems like OP doesn't want to take it any further than the school which makes me question the entire situation....

OP here -

We still have no intention of calling the police.

We got an update from the school though. Apparently, this is not the first incident this mom has been involved in. They knew who it was before we even identified her. Her child is not full-time, she just does drop-in care and based on this and other incidents, we are told that she will no longer be welcome at the center.

Careful, if it has "drop in" care, it's probably a day care center, not a "school." I'm sure someone will leap all over you for that.

Thanks for the 9:12 update, OP.
Sadly, though, this behavior of hers will continue at the next daycare she joins. She should get into some anger management.

PLEASE tell us the name of your school!

If I found out she has a history, that would have been more inspiration to get police involved. She has children and anger issues, and that's not typically a good combination.

Initially, we didnt recognize her and the 2 infant teachers couldnt identify her. After we gave a brief description, the Board members were pretty sure they knew who it was and the next day, we got her child's name and confirmed her identity.

OP changes her story and I no longer believe what she is saying. "Infant teachers"? How many schools have "Infant Teachers"? This is a child care center and OP is over the top. Board Members? The School Board met over this matter? OP if this was a stab at trying to write non-fiction, you failed, and you also failed with fiction. Go back and crawl into you hidey hole.

I'm not clear what part of this story isn't believable. My kids' center has several people in each infant room. Is it because she calls them "teachers" and not "workers?" If there's a parent who's lashed out at other parents and/or staff multiple times, and it's reached a point where she needs to be asked to leave, then I'm not surprised the board met. It might only be a handful of people.

Where have I changed my story? Read the post - I called it a day care. I use day care and school interchangeably, sorry that you couldnt follow that.
Yes, the day care does have a Board made up of parents. The director was out on Wednesday, so the front desk person that we initially spoke with followed up with a Board member.
Yes, the infant room does have "teachers" or child care providers, whatever you want to call them.

School and day care cannot be used interchangeably because they are not the same. You sound like the OP who posted a few months ago about DH opening door on street side and car running into door, didn't call police, but other man's insurance company paid. This OP was not a witness and you were not a witnes to what happened. Your testimony is heresay and would not be allowed in court. The "school" board met just for this incident. Bull!
