To the mom who purposely rear-ended my DH in front of day care this morning...

We still have no intention of calling the police.

We got an update from the school though. Apparently, this is not the first incident this mom has been involved in. They knew who it was before we even identified her. Her child is not full-time, she just does drop-in care and based on this and other incidents, we are told that she will no longer be welcome at the center.

you said before the school couldn't identify her?

Initially, we didnt recognize her and the 2 infant teachers couldnt identify her. After we gave a brief description, the Board members were pretty sure they knew who it was and the next day, we got her child's name and confirmed her identity.

OP changes her story and I no longer believe what she is saying. "Infant teachers"? How many schools have "Infant Teachers"? This is a child care center and OP is over the top. Board Members? The School Board met over this matter? OP if this was a stab at trying to write non-fiction, you failed, and you also failed with fiction. Go back and crawl into you hidey hole.

Where have I changed my story? Read the post - I called it a day care. I use day care and school interchangeably, sorry that you couldnt follow that.
Yes, the day care does have a Board made up of parents. The director was out on Wednesday, so the front desk person that we initially spoke with followed up with a Board member.
.

Yes, the infant room does have "teachers" or child care providers, whatever you want to call them.

School and day care cannot be used interchangeably because they are not the same. You sound like the OP who posted a few months ago about DH opening door on street side and car running into door, didn't call police, but other man's insurance company paid. This OP was not a witness and you were not a witnes to what happened. Your testimony is heresay and would not be allowed in court. The "school" board met just for this incident. Bull!

Ding ding ding!! I think we've found the mom that rammed my car. I wont be calling the cops on you bc I dont care enough to waste my time but I feel bad for your daughter who wont be able to see her friends anymore and has to have a mother who cant comtrol her temper.

OP, you should definitely file a report. She cannot simply get away with that.

Yes, daycares call the ladies who watch your kids, "teachers". Mine does.

Yep, a snotty mom who apparently thinks only people who have based a state certification can be called teachers. That would mean Jesus, Buddha and Mohammend couldn't be called teachers.

Clearly you are not familiar with "Bright Horizons" which has a structured daycare program that goes up to PreK4 and they refer to their establishment as a "school" and the workers as "teachers". Whether you think it is legitimate or not, that is how it is commonly referred.

If this woman has a history of this sort of behavior, you should absolutely file a police report! I know it's a total PITA, but this woman needs to check herself before she wrecks herself!

In Christianity, Jesus is the Son of God. Buddhism was founded by a "Spiritual Teacher" and Mohammed is called a prophet. In the US in order to teach school a teacher must be dertified in the state in which he/she teaches a subject but they are not "Spiritual Teachers." There is a difference.

Why on earth would I be angry as I don't have to drop my daughter off at school because she is attending a private boarding school, the same one I attended after it became co-ed, and prior to that attended by my great grandfather, grandfather, father and both brothers. Also, I haven't had a cold in years so there is nothing "snotty" about me.

Honestly. Let it go. It's Friday night and you're sitting here getting all worked up at some stranger on an anonymous message board.

Are you pretending to be a feather-brained snob or are you actually one? Either way, you are quite entertaining

I hope you went to that school on scholarship because you sure didn't get much of an education. "Teacher" is not legal term and isn't restricted to those licensed by the state. Unlike a medical doctor or lawyer, you don't have to be licensed to practice your profession. AI/TAs in colleges are teachers, clergy are teachers, the teenager giving swim lessons is a teacher, the classroom aide in the kindergarten is a teacher and childcare workers are also teachers. In fact, DC has quite a few teachers in their public schools who have yet to meet their certification/licensing requirements and they're still teachers.

You may want to get a tissue and wipe that loogey hanging from your nose - or use your finger. I don't care.

Summa cum laude graduate and birds are VERY smart. Thanks for the compliment. As a matter of idle curiosity, what is a "feather-brained snob"?
