Palisades Montessori, a neighborhood-based Montessori school in the Palisades in Ward 3, has infant spaces available for full-time daycare!
I own and operate 🌿PalisadeI own and operate Palisades Montessori infant and toddler program & preschool program. We are experimenting with the use of clear masks. They work very well, are safe if you buy the right ones, and really help with the social and emotional components!
Palisades Montessori Infant and Toddler has spaces opening up for young infants (Ward 3).
I am helping to organize a pre-natal yoga and labor prep class (five sessions, $25 per class for drop-ins, the price is slightly less if you buy the whole session). The location is Pengu studio in McLean, VA (just a few minutes over Chain Bridge). The teacher is Sytera Field, who is, in my humble opinion, the most amazing, experienced, fabulous, transformational pre-natal yoga teacher I've found (and believe me, I have tried a lot). This class will not only to help you feel great during all stages of pregnancy, but it will also allow you to prepare for labor and meet other moms. If you're interested, please contact me at hhgust@gmail.com. We're looking to start soon and we need at least six interested expectant moms!
YOU PEOPLE ARE SO MEAN. There is no reason to be disrespectful and rude to someone just because they have their own opinions and wishes about circumcision. What is it about this website that makes people think they can be so snarky and rude? I am incredibly offended just reading this. How about giving the original poster a little common-sense advice and letting her make up her own mind instead of brow-beating?
I cannot say enough good things about Apple Montessori in Bethesda (near Glen Echo). This school is a true-blue Montessori program. The teachers are all uniquely wonderful and devoted to their professions. The school is housed in a building that was formerly a Maryland public school, so it really feels like a "real school" with fabulous playgrounds and indoor gym facilities. The curriculum is progressive and caring. The class size and teacher:student ratios are wonderful. My two-year-old son is loving it there. We switched to Apple from another program that didn't work for him for a variety of reasons, and we could not be happier. I'd be happy to share more with anyone who would like a reference; hhgust@yahoo.com.

I hope your friend has read and applied every lesson in the most fabulous book on the planet for fertility: Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. I can't tell you how many people i know personally who have tried for years, done everything (IVF etc.), then read this book and got pregnant naturally.

And I agree. I couldn't imagine a best friend acting like that for that long. I would move on.
I am helping to organize a prenatal yoga class on Monday evenings with Sytera Field, a teacher you don't want to miss. Weekly yoga is such a great thing for expectant moms to do, and it helps to build community as well. Sytera is especially talented at the community-building aspect. The class will take place in McLean VA at Pengu (right over Chain Bridge) on Monday evenings - start time around 7:30 PM. If you are interested, please contact Sytera directly: sytera@elationyoga.com or 202.365.8978. Cost will be $20 per class and there may be discounted pricing if you sign up for a multi-week session.
