I switched to the bathtub around 5-6 months when he was sitting up well enough on his own and was way to big for the baby tub. He didn't really like the ring - it smashed his man bits. So I use one of those sticky mats for the tub, that he sits on.

I agree. My DS has been eating table foods since he was about 8 months old. He only has 4 teeth (as of a few weeks ago). I just make sure whatever he eats is soft enough and in smallish pieces.

We usually go down in Oct - this year we are waiting until November. The water is coolish, there are some warm days and some cooler days. Probably not ideal for sunbathing. We never encountered any issues with hurricanes, but it is always a possibility.
I love it - less people, better selection of houses, it doesn't take 4 hours to cross the bridge. I can't imagine going in the summer

The song "Hook" by Blues Traveler. It gets stuck in my head, and I get angry. I want to go kick Mr. Blues and Mr. Traveler in the balls for creating such an annoying song.
