My amazing provider, Laura of Happy Feet, will have a spot open around the end of June. Your daughter might be a bit young (I'm not sure whether she's looking for a child who's over 2), but you could always give her a call.

She's in Petworth, about a mile north of the metro--it seems to me she'd be convenient both to Silver Spring and Takoma Park.

My amazing in-home daycare provider recently posted a message saying that she had a 2-day/week slot--see http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/32040.page . It might be worth your while to call her and see if she could do three days--I'm just not sure what exactly she's looking for. She's in Petworth DC, is open 8:30-6 and has been really wonderful with my son. Feel free to PM me if you want to hear more about her.

I just wanted to bump this to say: My son has been attending Happy Feet for four months now, and it's really been wonderful for all of us. Laura is just amazing with the kids, and my son talks about her all weekend long. She's also helped us correct some toddler behavior stuff (throwing things, mostly) that my husband and I were having a hard time dealing with. He's just been thriving with her, and my husband and I feel like she's our partner in raising a happy, well-behaved child. Feel free to pm me if you want to hear more about our experiences.
