Oh boy! Painting cabinets can be easy or ruin your life if you're wanting a professional look. A friend and I painted a french blue on oak veneer cabinets. If it's oak, just give up and use refacing or buy new cabinets. It's a long story. First, I had to fill the grain. Then, I used cabinet paint ($50/gal) from Lowes and this paint is super tricky and some of it went bad and bubbled so we had to re-sand, prime multiple coats and paint multiple coats within prescribed timeframe. Whatever you do, read and adhere to the paint instructions meticulously. Lots of decisions...brush, air gun vs highest quality mini rollers. We used rollers. Can do it cheaper with enamel instead of cabinet paint which is very thin and easy to run.

I agree we are the best because of sincerity, honesty, respect. We are not perfect but many of us strive to improve. But, I don't see any women here in the DMV appreciate it--not even the ones from the mid-west. Been single for 3-years since my divorce (from Ex who falsely accused me of domestic violence).
