I'll be at caribou around 11/1115 tomorrow before barre....I will try to get a table outside and I will no doubt have an iced tea. Look for the chubby girl with dark hair in gym style clothes!
Hope people can make it! I haven't walked up e stairs to barre I. So long, I hope I don't pass out on them!!!
Holy beautiful day out. I am headed to yoga soon the. To Georgetown to look for mothers day cards/gifts. Heads heads up for tomorrow if you plan to drive anywhere - its the women's half marathon so expect traffic. Ugh.
Congrats! We used them at first, then I got both a First Respons and a clear blue digital. FRERs are mostly recommended for their accuracy and I got clear blue because they require more hcg to show positive...and seeing 'pregnant' is pretty awesome.
Congrats!!! Keep us posted!!
Grubbs is a pharmacy in DC - and no, MD IPA will only cover through their pharmacy. If you're looking for prices WITH MD IPA coverage, I can tell you that with the same protocol (though, I'm not sure of your dosage...I was on a very low dose of everything, 175IU of Follistim, 75IU menopur, etc)....everything together was under $350 with MD IPA. I did have to pay for Lupron trigger out of pocket but they paid me back after the appeals process. The Follistim was $100 a pen. So it would depend on your dose of each medicine, but that was my experience and OOP cost.
This protocol seems to be common with younger women/male factor cases to avoid overstimulation.
I cycled in January with GW (1st cycle, too). I'm 14 weeks pregnant today. Hopefully everything is still good.
Rasika, hands down. I think it's cheaper than Zaytina.
Something else to consider looking at is Ris. I've never been, but always wanted to try it.
What about Birch and Barley? I personally love it for special occasions. Their desserts are AMAZING and service is fantastic. Menu is seasonal, so I have no idea what they serving these days. It's been a while. They have good non-alcoholic drinks, too, which your DD might appreciate (for example, the bartender made me FRESH blueberry lemonade while I watched, and it was delicious)
People do love pigs in a blanket - with a good mustard to dip? So good and they do fly off the table.
Costco has that really good jalapeno greek yogurt dip/spread - it's delicious. with some tortilla chips or pita chips it's fabulous.
their vegetarian stuffed grape leaves are great, too.
Can you do some "upscale" toppings that are easily made ahead of time?
like jicama-mango salsa? A latin-inspired cabage slaw with some chopped chipotle peppers in greek yogurt, the mix with the cabbage and whatever veggies you like?
What about pickled onions?
I agree with soft tacos. If there are kids, though, they might like crunchy tacos better - there are loads of recipes online for how to crunch up your tortillas int he oven for "crispy" taco shells that aren't fried (you hang them off the rack in the oven?
How is everyone?
I'm 14W today....haven't been able to find a heartbeat since the other night with my Sonoline, but that doesn't mean anything. I think I can hear the baby move, though - there's like a loud "woooosh" and then nothing. I'm not too worried - it's still early, and I'm chubby so it's not rare.
Anyone feeling their baby move yet?
Who is doing barre on Sunday? Still up for meeting at Caribou first?
Given your history, maybe you should see an MFM? A doctor should know your history and have no problem with an early ultrasound. Perhaps an OB who works in high risk if you don't want to see an MFM just to have that extra security? It's really hard to deal with the nerves, I know.
But...I just really wanted to wish you good luck and hope that everything turns out to be OK!
Sleepy, I wouldn't worry about it. You're early enough and honestly, it's not any of their business when they are interviewing you. There are so many threads here with people saying, "you are lying!". No, you're not. It's not legal for them to take it in to consideration anyway, so why MAKE it something they ahve to actively avoid considering?
I applied for a number of jobs recently....only now am I slowing down because honestly, if I'm further along it'll be hard to not notice. And I won't have any job protections (FMLA, etc). I figured I'd resume my job search heavily during maternity leave.
FWIW I'm barely in my 2nd tri and I bought a night nursing bra from when my breasts were incredibly sore (which annoyingly has returned), especially at night, for some light support - it is by Lamaze and is very comfortable. It's cotton and stretchy. I'm trying very hard not to make it my "lazy Sunday" bra because it's so comfy.
She already replied! She said she doesn't recommend the 8 week class because it's cutting it too close to due date. So the summer sizzler class it is!
thanks for your help/recommendations, all! Once we double check that the dates are fine tonight, we'll sign up and have that scratched off the list. Now to find a newborn care/CPR class....sigh...
hey there! Thanks for the helpful reply....I've reached out to Susan to see what the policy is regarding not being able to finish the class. I just worry that it'll be really uncomfortable to go there for 8 weeks the last bit of pregnancy,ya know?
But, if you say it's worth it, maybe it won't be so bad? The class that starts on May 6th is just TOO soon.
So the big question is...8 week class and just deal with it at the end of pregnancy...or be a little early for the 4 week "summer sizzler" class?
one last thing! Is it a pain in the butt to get there? We live in logan circle and I have visions of trying to drive thru Georgetown to get there and never being on time....(which is the main reason I decided to not go to Sibley!)
