Good thing APS has a Director of DEI on hand to pinch hit. |
That’s true—there is so much important work to be done regarding these matters in Arlington. I am very pleased that the school system is taking it seriously. |
Couldn’t the leave be medical, bereavement, paternity, etc? Unless it’s disciplinary related, what right do we have to know the reason? |
Yes could be anything. I'm not sure what the angle is for the ARLnow story. Either they know something juicy off the record or they are just being d*cks. |
Yeah why is this newsworthy? Typically arlnow doesn’t post unless they have some legit info though. |
This is terrible. Really.
Maybe the guy has a health issue. Or had a baby. |
Seems shady. APS would have confirmed medical or parental leave if that was the case. While I care deeply about equity, this guy can go and never come back for his role in stopping new instruction/no instruction (k-2) in March 2020. |
I don't think they really would if it is a medical issue as that would be his PRIVATE INFORMATION. Even a baby, it's not really anyone's business. As we can see, these staff put up with enough of their info becoming public and people with nothing else to do discussing them on the internet. |
I don’t really have any speculation about what’s going on, aside from the timing being interesting. |
He was asked to resign. APS is just making it easier for him to get a new job… Glad to see him go. He wasn’t qualified for the job. |
What is your source for this? |
This is true (Arlington admin here) |
Then why on earth would APS handle it the way they did. Just say the guy left and announce his interim replacement. Why call it "approved leave"? |
Why was he hired in the first place then? I really hope Duran was disgusted by his involvement to stop new instruction in March 2020 and axed him for cause. |
Do they really need a coordinator, Director, a chief officer, a supervisor, and specialists? I think with 30 kids to a class, that is the story here. |
