| Almost bought the sienna today but I’m struggling so much. How do I get over this hump? We need a new car. |
| Don’t spend so much. We spent $43,000 on a Chrysler Pacifica plug in hybrid and we got $7500 back in tax credits because it’s electric. It’s a great minivan. |
| Can you get one used, like 2 years old? |
| Is that how much it is now!? We are thinking of getting a minivan, but yikes. |
| OP here, we have no way to really plug our car in? It will have to be parked on the street . We are considering a 2020 Pacifica for 37.5 but that’s not including tax all we wanted that was above base were captains chairs , and floor mats. With sales tax and random other costs that we have no control over and an extended warranty, we’re looking at 49K for the sienna. The odyssey wouldn’t be much less. |

You need to buy used.
Why are you looking at new? |
| I bought a new Sienna and LOVE it. Hardly ever have to get gas too. |
| The average new car price is like $38k. $50k doesn’t seem like a huge stretch for an upgraded minivan. Large suvs are $80-$90k now. |
Bc the used prices don’t seem that much lower. Maybe 10K lower, but no warranty. |
Ditch the extended warranty |
| Do you really need a van? My full size sedan holds a ton of luggage. |
| OP here, what do y’all think of a 2020 Pacifica with 7K miles, AWD, leather seats for 37.5k? |
Without knowing anything more, it sounds good to me! |
| Thanks! I’m nervous- we’ve only had Volvos, Mercedes and subarus (mostly passed down from my parents), never thought of a Chrysler! |

We have a 2020 Pacifica (bought in 2019) and love it.
You do not need an extended warranty; your vehicle is covered for 3 years/36,000 miles. At that time, you can revisit whether or not it is necessary. We absolutely love the Sto & Go seats. When traveling, you can store your things in them. Also, when flatten, it allows you to move a ton of crap when needed LOL. Prior to this vehicle, we had a Chrysler Town and Country for 14years, so it was an easy choice to get the Pacifica. |
