Another ICE Shooting in Minnesota

When the deceased man was struggling with federal agents, one of the agents saw his gun and yelled “gun”. I believe one of the agents removed the deceased man’s gun during the struggle, but not all of the agents knew that. When the agents are searching the man’s body after he passed, one of them is heard asking “where’s the gun?”

These are trying to do a dangerous job and have protestors/rioters constantly in their faces. They were faced with a man resisting arrest who possessed a gun. I believe that was their mindset.

It’s not a dangerous job.

A bubble thread of comments by posters who frequently disparage the intelligence of any type of LEO and basically don't believe in law enforcement and would never encourage their kids to become a policeperson or any other type of LEO.

Is what these people are doing constitutionally protected protest? They are actively attempting to impede and obstruct federal law enforcement activities. That’s not a constitutionally protected right. IMO, the two deaths we have seen are a tragic consequence of a party telling their supporters to interject themselves into dangerous federal law enforcement operations. I am old enough to remember when Obama was elected to his first term in 2008, the tea party people were showing up to town halls carrying long guns on their backs and signs that read "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." And for a long time after, there were those guys who would just walk around town open carrying large rifles while wearing fatigues, saying they were exercising their constitutional rights, and people on the right cheered them on every step of the way. They'd say that if seeing a gun causes you fear, that's a you problem.

Where are those people now?

There truly are people on the right who only believe in constitutional rights when they are the ones exercising them. When someone else does it, they see them as a threat that needs to be dealt with. Hypocritical and dangerous to their core.

He wasn't being arrested. ICE is not the police. They can't just cuff someone because they annoyed them. Not that the police are supposed to do that either, but that's an issue for another time. Him having a gun was not a crime. They don't get to shoot someone because they possess a gun.
