DH grew through college.

All three of my boys continued to grow all the way through college. It seems like they stopped growing at about 23-24ish.

Mine (18 and 14) are expected to go until they’re 20

my H stopped at that age and stayed at 6 ft. My brother got to HS smaller,, maybe 5'7ish and he grew to 6'3, up until he graduated college.

For those of you with boys that continued growing in late teens and beyond, what age did they start their growth spirt/puberty, if you remember? Were they late bloomers?

My son's feet were done growing by the beginning of 9th grade and he didn't grow after 16 (maybe 17). He's a little under 5'10 (almost 20) and I don't expect him to suddenly shoot up during the last two years of college.

DS is 19. His feet stopped growing when he was in 10th grade and he seemed to stop growing when he was in 11th grade. He's just a hair under 5'8, his predicted final height is 5'9 so there is a chance he may have one final spurt before he's 21.

According to the pediatric reference books I’ve seen, almost all boys are done growing at 16. Anecdotally a lot of people say their boys grew later.

Not sure if my kid is done growing yet. He’s 16 now. He has been the same shoe size since he was 11, and has not grown even 1 mm in the last three years. However, that does not mean that he won’t have any more growth because I do know boys that have done this and then grown again in college. he is on the shorter side of men on both sides of our family so no idea if he’s actually done growing or not. Either way would be fine.

My DS started high school at 5'6" and is now going into his sophomore year of college at 6'3". I am hoping that he is done but most of his growth was junior year until now.

I’m the one with the 6’ 14-year-old. This must be his peak growing year because I swear he looks taller day-by-day. His grandfathers both topped out at 6’, his dad is 6’1”, I am 5’10”, so I don’t see 6’4” or anything in his future.

I think this is the average, but yes, some do still keep growing into college.

DH hit puberty late, and grew in college. He's 6'2.

DS is 16, and just had his pediatrician appt, and the doctor said DS is still in the early stages of puberty, and that he hasn't really hit his growth spurt stage yet; he has years to grow, just like his dad. Years ago DS had an xray on his foot, and he Ortho said his bone growth was about 1 yr to 1.5 yrs behind.
