Out of curiosity. I got Botox today for the first time. My forehead wrinkles had really set in over covid and were bugging me so I thought I would give it a try. I’m 30.
She did 25 units in my forehead and 15 between my eyebrows. This seems like so much! Based on what I’d read here, I was thinking it would be more like 20-25 total. |

Where did you go and how much did you pay?
How does it feel since it’s the first time? I’m 30 too and thinking of getting Botox for the first time |
| That is a lot. I am 43 and have been going since I was 37. I get about 22 units now. When I first started I got about 15 units or so (just between my eyes). |
Sorry, I'm on the west coast so no help there but it was $12 a unit, which seems about average. No results yet since I just got it done today, but the injections themselves were no big deal tiny pricks and now 10 hours later my forehead just feels a little bit sore/tight and it's still pretty red all over. Really nervous for the results! I hope I don't hate it, or maybe I hope I do so I won't want to keep forking over $400. |
Hmm, so maybe 15 between the eyes is normal. I wonder why she gave me so much above the eyebrows. My forehead lines are numerous and definitely visible, but not deep grooves or anything, and my "11s" are just one extremely faint line. If anyone understands how they assess how much is needed please let me know. For many reasons, I don't want to be getting more than necessary! |
| Zero. I’m 38 and Botox makes women look like plastic. |

Slightly off topic
My SIL administers Botox. She said that a competitor (?) to Botox, Xeomin, has had a decent price drop. Yet, providers are charging Botox prices when they are really administering Xeomin. She said check the products and the price. |
No it doesn’t ❤️ |
40 units of Botox above the eyeline of a 30yo will make her look like plastic. |
| I’m 37, go to dr porter, and she does 20 for the elevens |
Where do you go? |
It’s really up to you. They follow your requests. See how you like the results, and then next time you’ll be able to guide them better. |
How do you know this? |
| It depends person to person. I'm 41. I get 60 units, spread across my forehead, crow's feet, and chin -- and everything still moves, and it all fades it about 2 months. Unfortunately, I have a strong tolerance. My derm and I laugh about how "if only" the rest of my muscles were as strong as my face muscles! |
What does it do in your chin? |
