You still don’t get it. You aren’t readjusting skin. It is injected into muscles. Readjusting the skin = removing a mole. You’re insane to care this deeply about a thing you won’t even get. |
Oh please. Is getting a manicure surgery? After all, you're removing your cuticles and adjusting the proximal nail fold, which are part of your largest organ. |
| Surgery PP is really off base. My DD gets botox injected into her pyloric muscle, which requires an endoscopy under light anesthesia. If you refer to it as surgery to the health providers involved, they always correct you to say procedure. No cuts made=not surgery. |
| I had 8 in my frown lines around my mouth/chin. Definitely helped the wrinkles look smoother, but my smile is weird and not natural for me. My natural smile is pretty, so no more Botox for me, and I will make a point to smile more. |
I’ve been contemplating Botox and I hadn’t thought of this! My smile is like my only attractive feature, so I’m glad you flagged this! I guess I’ll just stick to brows. |
Botox does not arch your brows up. Jfc. |

NP. Wow, a lot of people with no clue on this thread.
I get 50 units in my forehead, 11s, and a touch in my crows feet. I’d like to get more, but the effective path is not more at once, just go more frequently. It relaxes muscles so arched brows is NOT Botox. Probably a lift. It relaxes muscles so a dermatologist/surgeon will NOT inject it near your mouth. Wtf. You’ll be like drunky talky. My derm laughed at the idea of mouth injections. |
| I’m 33 and get 6 units in my forehead. This amount works well for me. Tried more than that and was scared off Botox for a year. |
Actually, it makes some people's eyelids DROOP, which gives the impression of arched brows. So you are wrong, and the PP is correct. |
Wow, you get a LOT. How old are you? I get 30 units, same spots, including a "touch" in crow's feet. I'm 53 and go every five months. It does lead to arched brows, sadly. But not 30 units. |
Sorry I'm late in responding. My chin is very dimpled, in a bad way. When I purse my lips, which happens while chewing, talking, etc, my chin...sort of...dissolves into a pile of craters. So she does a couple injections in the middle of my chin, which just makes me look normal. |
| A lot of defensive people here. |
The American board of plastic surgery says it’s cosmetic surgery. What more do you want? Why are you in denial if it’s such a “simple” and important procedure to you? |
DENIAL lol. Ma’am, you come INTO a thread about Botox to gloat about all the made up reasons why you won’t get it and you don’t even know it’s the difference between muscles and skin and a toxic vs a filler. Go back to your hole. |
I got it for the first time at 39. I got 34 units total between my eyebrows, forehead, and a little near my crows feet. I went to the SkinBarre in McClean and they are awesome! |
