Anyone still masking during group classes in DC?

I’m going to my first class is over a year. I know it’s not mandatory, but will I be the only one wearing a mask?

No one is wearing any more at orange theory.

If you want to advertise that you don’t trust the vaccine (or are not vaccinated), enjoy wearing your mask.

Are upper middle class people who can afford group exercise really that ignorant as to not be vaccinated? Most people I know are vaccinated and of course don't wear masks.

Since your not vaccinated you need to stay hoke.

At the place where I take classes, masks are only becoming optional this week. And yup, I plan to ditch the mask--have been waiting since I got my vax in March!

Been attending gym & group classes in VA, for over a year now - always maskless. Never had covid.

Occasionally someone might wear a mask, but it's unusual these days.

Yikes. I trust the vaccine and have been vaccinated but live with someone who is not, making the risk of me getting a mild case of covid more problematic than it is for others. When the vaccine works, it’s still entirely possible to get a mild case.

at my studio, in-person classes are for vax only, so i haven't seen anyone choose to wear a mask yet.

My daughter is still masking because I have cancer and because her BF’s parents are both immunocompromised.

Is she wearing an N95? Otherwise I don't get it--I thought masks (unless N95) only protect others...

Indoors at an exercise class seems like a pretty reasonable place to wear a mask if you still perceive a local covid risk. Lots of people still wear them in grocery stores etc. Outdoors seems entirely unnecessary, but an enclosed space with strangers heavy breathing for 30-60 minutes?

I still wear a mask at the gym, I maybe see one other person with a mask. I've been fully vaccinated since January, but since I work at a Children's Hospital, it seems like a small thing for me to try to prevent being a carrier and infecting kids that can't be vaccinated.

Still wear sometimes-living life dangerously. But yes, can now usually count number of mask wearers with a single hand.

I am not risking exercising indoors yet. I did take an outdoors soul cycle class and half of us were wearing masks.

A few people are masking at my gym. Maybe 10 percent?
