| Not every studio has vaccinated-only classes. I think masking guidelines are likely to change in the upcoming weeks. Lots of people still masking in classes, but they’re currently in the minority. Check back in three weeks and I wonder where things will stand. |
More studios don’t offer them than do. It’s annoying—they should be the standard. |
| I was going to attend my first cycle class in since before the pandemic, and now having second thoughts due to delta. I don't want to mask, and honestly, I don't think the mask would make any difference in that environment. I am vaccinated, but I really don't want to expose myself to that level considering there are breakthrough cases and viral load would be high in a class of 30 people with no spacing, even if one person had it. |
| I never thought of myself as extremely cautious compared to others, so I was surprised to see so few masks out there in the one class I attended. They’ve all heard about the delta variant and breakthrough cases etc. and I know for a fact that some of the class members have little kids (can’t get the vaccine). I really wish studios would have vaccinated-only classes. They’d definitely get me back if they did - even if they offered just a few classes a week. |
| Wonder if the new CDC recommendations will change people’s masking habits in the DMV. Our fitness chain sent out an email update about masks, but it seems geared towards other regions where things are more out of control. |

I’m in Rockville- not DC. But yes- started masking again. I am fully vaccinated but work in as ES with kids who are not vaccine eligible. Feels super reckless to run around without a mask knowing I’ll be in a room with 25 littles in a few weeks.
But it’s annoying. Not the mask- but the fact that we are back here because of fools in the Midwest |
Family of physician. Not entirely true. Decent masks help, obviously not the same way and to the extent of N95. |
Thank you for protecting our little ones! I have little kids and wish I can give them the vaccine. The delta variant is out there and the vaccine's efficacy is not as high as we all like it. After 6 months, Pfizer's is at only 84% and supposedly drops 6% for every 2 months. |
I lift weights, not group fitness, but the new guidance has me wearing a KN95 again, rather than a surgical mask. I’m fully vaccinated and not much concerned, but I also have kids at home who are too young to be vaccinated, most gym-goers aren’t wearing masks, and I don’t trust that they’re all fully vaccinated. Wearing a mask again isn’t a big deal. |
