ECNL admins already thinks they are the smartest and overall greatest people to walk the earth. They will make the change with everyone else because in their eyes they are the kings of this youth soccer world.

They don’t care about trapped players or anyone outside their bottom line.

The logic you had above shows you are a low IQ, middle age insecure bold man. Your kid will get bumped soon. You will know it in 2 weeks.

ECNL will do what they want. But they won’t change to SY until 26

I predict they will allow three trapped players to play down to compete against MLS biobanding. GA will do biobanding this fall as well.

GA doesn’t need bio banding because they generally play through high school season.

The uq5-u19 ages do not play during the high school season in California.

You sure about that? Here's LA Surf's schedule/link, as an example:

https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/36330/schedules?team=2430008

Games in Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Mar, Apr, and May. Is their HS season Jan-Feb?

Not happening. All changes will be implemented in 2 years.

Even with a hard cutoff on 26/27, your Q1/Q2 bench players will be removed this fall to make room for Q3/Q4.

You make it sound like there is this huge untapped reserve of kid soccer players. Newsflash: it’s the same kids that will be spread across the teams. Shifting the age cutoff by 6 months will not change rosters very much. A few adds/subtracts here and there which will net out to mostly nothing.

Low IQ. If as you said, this change will not cause 6000 most nonsense posts among insecure parents. And you are one of them.

Logic says if there are two players an ECNL coach is looking at and one is trapped and the other is Q1, all things being equal, they will cut Q1 this fall and develop the trapped player because Q1 is getting bumped to RL in 2026 anyway

Should I have phrased it like this instead: "Excuse me fine sir, but are you sure about that?"

You’d send the Q4 to RL and develop the Q1 that only had a year shelf life in NL?

I think people really underestimate how much this will change the roster dynamics

Intent is everything. You know nothing about HS soccer in CA so don't comment on it. Ignorance is bliss
