Is mail only a sometimes thing now?

We get mail maybe twice a week? Three times, if we're lucky. Been this way for months.

It certainly feels that way out here in Near Northeast.

We get skipped a couple days a week in Bethesda. I get the informed delivery email so I know there was supposed to be something delivered - it comes the next day instead.

Maybe we should just have Amazon take over all mail delivery

We moved 3 weeks ago, put in the change of address 4 weeks ago, and have gotten NOTHING forwarded. In fact, our old address is still getting our mail. I called the PO and they said I should have also called to alert the carrier. ummm ok the online form says NOTHING about having to call to alert them. Good grief.

USPS delivers for Amazon, genius.

Maybe we should adequately fund and manage our postal system, which used to be the envy of the world.

Yes, in our NW DC neighborhood we seem to get mail delivered three or four times a week. Never daily.

The Postal Service does not run on taxpayer dollars. Never has. It is self-financing. So it's not an issue of anyone shortchanging USPS.

Also, Amazon mostly used the Postal Service when it was still building out its own delivery system. Now that there's an Amazon truck on every block, it doesn't need USPS, at least not like it did.

Didn't the former guy claim that Amazon had too good a deal with the postal service and that was the cause for its woes?

We just moved and have had multiple Amazon packages arrive every day for a week. Literally none were USPS. I commented the other day that Amazon delivery was far superior to even UPS and FedEx. At our old place it seemed like we had a regular set of delivery people and they had been super nice and friendly, and went out of their way to hide packages.

My theory is that Democrats want DeJoy to destroy USPS so that they can privatize it. Otherwise, there is literally no excuse for allowing him to remain Postmaster General. Unless they like/want this outcome.

Outer SS, get mail everyday.

Do you really want junk mail delivered 6 days a week? Why are you complaining?
