Please list the scholarships/actual college commits for next Fall from your Son/Son's team.

The ACTUAL ones. Name of Club and Name of College. Not just kid got accepted and is planning to try to walk on a team.

Just go on each club's website if you want to see players that are committed.

OP- Male.

It’s a fallacy. There are hardly any, particularly from any note-worthy academic ones.

All this lunacy, $$$$$ and time. Pipe dreams.

Many Europeans take whatever there is.

On the boys side, aren't the D1 offers partial scholarships coupled with academic aid?

Lets make it even more special only list if your BOY has earned an athletic scholarship based off of his on the field performance not the class room or random scholarship money.

I think this is a very good thread because people new to the sport for boys (and especially with their firstborn) don't know the obstacles for this.

If more parents did, perhaps the landscape would look different and there would be more heart from coaches on how to develop a kid for life---mirror being a good role model instead of a jerk and example of how NOT to behave or treat people.

It's very different on the girls' side because they are available. I wish boy parents would CTFO and not listen to the lies from Clubs. I wish their 'college' information/recruitment nights were presented in a REALISTIC light. Give them the facts and odds so they can make sound choices for their high school years and get priorities in order.

For any people new to the sport for boys (and especially with your firstborn), please never come back to this site again. Before you know it, Loudoun Dad hates you, and you're either called a sock puppet or LB. It's entertaining, and, it's bad.

Bethesda has had a lot of good boys’ commitments for the last few years. They have boys on almost all the Ivy teams now, so no athletic scholarships, but still impressive to me and I think most parents. Others are starters on soccer powerhouse teams including Georgetown, Maryland, Stanford, and Wake Forest.

OOF....given the sheer number of boys playing soccer in the DMV those lists are incredibly underwhelming.

I meet so many delusional parents. I keep my mouth shut, but the false belief some of them have and have been sold. When my neighbor's son made a DA team in middle school (with a very large roster) he told us this meant he would get a USMNT spot. Others talk about positioning themselves for college scholarships thinking they will be getting one from Duke or UCLA, etc.

At some point around the Fall of Senior year they wake up. If they are lucky, they will see it around Freshmen year and the kid will branch out and be able to take up some other activities at school while pulling back on the soccer travel ,etc.
