We are not the only ones wear mask at outdoor playground

My 2 year old that only has a few words wears masks at outdoor playground for an hour , and I see kids that are older than her like preschooler or elementary school kid do not wear mask, including their adult family members. Some of unmasked adult family member are helping their kids on the playground, so close to my kid and other kids. I feel I am stupid and they are selfish. But you know what , 80% of kids and adults still wear masks at outdoor playground, so we are not the odd ones that dcum says. Many families still wear masks outdoor for the sake of unvaccinated kids.

Well we follow science so not worried about masking outdoors. My kids wear masks all day long I side at school where it matters. Not making them mask outside for show.

My family doesn’t wear masks outside.
Adults are vaccinated.
The few seconds I might be near your child isn’t going to give them COVID

I’m not selfish - I’m vaccinated.

Definitely not 80 percent wearing mask at the playground this morning in DC. Maybe 5%.

I’m sorry for your kid.

Not sure where you live but in our area of the burbs, very few kids and no adults are wearing masks outdoors, at playgrounds.

No one is wearing masks at the playground, and we go to several each week with our 2-year old. Spouse and I were vaccinated back in January. Not worried.

You got that half right. Adults here are vaccinated so pose infinitesimal risk. Like one in a million.

No one masking where I am. We trust the vaccine.

My 2.5 yr old doesn’t wear a mask outside. That said, we generally stay away from large groups of kids and go to the playground at non-popular hours.

Yes, I’m still worried about little kids even outside. They get right in each other’s faces and everything goes in their mouths. I seriously doubt the scientists tested “climbing a slide ladder after someone licked it”.

You are setting yourself up for a lifetime of severe anxiety if this is what you are worried about for your 2 year old. God help you when child hits teenage years.

I’m in Southern California right now in a very liberal area.

No one - parents or kids - are wearing masks at the playground. The playground is like a Benetton ad, with families of every ethnicity.

No stink eyes, no scolding. This area also has a very high vaccination rate, high mask compliance in stores.
