Looks great. Nice to see that the students go to so many places and Norwood is not just a feeder to a couple schools. Congratulations Norwood Class of 2021!

As the parent of a dyslexic kid, I'm really impressed that Norwood was able to support the student going to Lab. That says really good things about the school!

I agree! As a parent of a not so cookie cutter kid, I’m always happy to see schools who have been able to educate the whole child and meet the child where they are. I love my child’s school for this very reason.

Sad that everybody is split up. Public school is better.

And you are on this thread why??? Public was a disaster this year and exposed the ugly truth about how awful they really are. Next year will be remedial catch up. K-8 celebrates Social emotional learning and kids get to be kids without Hs influence. People choose it for a reason knowing the kids will split up?

huh? Our child graduated from Norwood and it's appropriate that everyone is split up. Norwood has a whole child approach and each class has a variety of learners and personalities. This is one of the best parts of the school. When it comes time for HS placement, 8th graders (and their families) are encouraged to find a school that is a match. The variety of schools that Norwood places its students each year is a direct result of walking the walk - focusing on the child.

I do think 9th grade can be a hard transition as everyone finds their way, but I think by 8th grade, most everyone is excited to set out on their own adventure.

You're generalizing. I know many public school families for whom the year wasn't a disaster at all. You can't use the pandemic of the century as an excuse to bash public schools.

LOL. At Norwood, every child is the Christ Child. Give me a break.

Agreed. My kid had a great time in public this year. His teachers were rockstars. He was admitted to 2 of the Big3 schools and is joining one for 9th grade this fall.

This means nothing without knowing how many to each school.
