Waiting for all the “that’s because they have the most players” crowd to come in here. Not sure why it’s so difficult to admit we have great facilities and most importantly, the best coaches.

I think you oughta worry more about the fact that many other elite teams u13 up could not or did not play in the tourney, so although the teams should undoubtedly proud of their success, they shouldn’t walk away from thinking this makes them a top team in this area. Of course you can think whatever you want, and will, regardless of facts.

I keep hearing all about these coaches. I have simply not seen any of that. Pretty mediocre style of play with very little evidence of confident or creative decisionmaking on any part of the field. You cannot put that entirely on coaches. But they don’t look like they are doing much to add any value over there.

There were so many 'buys' the first round that only 2-3 games even had to be play in total. Also--Arlington had 2 teams in every age group. The only Club with 2 teams in every age groups so odds were likely in their favor.....

Good point. But give him credit - he did find a website (VYSA - State Cup) and read it. Yes, RSD, Arlington has boys ECNL teams playing in a USYS cup. It would be better if everybody (including MLS Next and all other ECNL teams) would follow suit. Of course none of that matters for the U12s, but it does for any of the other age groups.
