State Cup is Arlington’s Cup

Does anyone know why they didn't?

Arlington does it on the Boys' side, but not girls. The 2009 Arlington team is the top team for the age group because it is pre-GA/ECNL, but the 2008G are the second team. Same for 07s.

How many other programs entered the top team?
At u13 above, no ecnl or mls next teams other than Arlington.
So does that mean that Arlington poster is bragging about beating B teams from other top clubs?
ECNL teams are allowed, they just didn't enter. Whose fault is that? Maybe it's too hot for the other teams. I don't know. You play who is in front of you. As for MLS Next....that's BS that MLS Next said that their teams weren't allowed to enter. I heard they told the clubs this 2 days for rosters were locked as well.

With that said...OP, can you share, and I'm not trying to be an a-ss about this, but can you share why you care if other teams from Arlington wins? Like do you just LOVE your club? I kind of find that admirable and crazy at the same time. I can give two sh-its about other teams in the club my kid plays for. But that's me.

Arlington's U15 team showed why other ECNL teams didn't enter the state cup. They made it to the national finals of both USYS and ECNL, which overlap in dates. They picked USYS, which I don't fully understand.

I don’t think other ecnl teams had a whiff of the ECNL nationals, so exactly how does this show that other ECNL teams in the DMV should not play state or regional cup? I don’t really think others had a shot at winning state cup either. Good luck to the kids no matter where they are playing.

Who? Nobody in the DMV but Arlington made ECNL boys nationals. That’s just fact.

Hahahahahahahahahaha

DS' team got shellacked by Arlington 6-1 in state cup. It was American kickball at its finest. Arlington undoubtedly deserved the W. Their ATHLETES were MORE ATHLETIC and won the track meet hands down. Nothing you can do about that. Maybe lift more weights and run more sprints (plus just recruit bigger/faster/stronger). This was an older age group. We'll see how many of their boys go past college soccer. Undoubtedly they will have plenty of D1 track stars headed off to college.

That's what USYS State Cup is. Any Virginia team can enter. But you can only play the teams that do enter.

Everyone is a lot faster in college. The fast kids on a travel team will be average speed.

Didn’t include all the semi-finalists but we are all so proud of you!! ECNL has added the premier club in Virginia and we’re looking forward to continuing this great rise!

All U13 and up teams in Arlington are composed of acquired talent. None are a true Arlington Breed.

Sad to always see the new comers trying so hard to fit in. Parents and players. And the pushy parents... those are the worse!
