NCSL vs ECNL

Well Just for the record Burke AC 07 an NCSL club beat BRYC 07 boys of the ECNL this weekend in the Virginian U14. So much for the argument That ECNL is so much better. Great job Burke way to show you are the better team. BRAVO BRAVO !!!

Sample size = 1.

But congrats. There are good teams and good players in every league. I've been surprised to see a lot of rec players beating out travel players to make high school teams.

Yes sample size of 1 and against a team that is bottom of the ECNL division for the area boys. Did Burke beat the McLean ECNL team? They are second-from-bottom of area ECNL teams in that age group. They also got beat by BRYC ECNL team over the weekend. That said, the BAC team I saw (their second team) was quite impressive. I am not surprised their top team is really really good.

Burke also beat SYC who are ECNL-bound.

Wow so in the battle of Braddock Road Burke takes the title over BRYC. Maybe thats the merger BRYC should be looking at.

Congrats to your son’s team. You had nothing to do with the game so why are you qualified to take down an entire league after 1 game! Bravo! Parents just get in the way of youth sports.

SYC is not ECNL bound. Does anyone know how many players from this SYC 07 boys team are ECNL bound?

Hey, when ODSL existed, there were some teams in that league that could beat a lot of teams in other leagues.

It's like comparing leagues in Europe. Could Rangers, on a given day, beat a relegation-fodder team in the EPL? Sure. Would anyone claim the Scottish league is somehow better than the EPL? Nah.

(BTW, I didn't realize until I just checked that ODSL has gone on indefinite hiatus. It's a pity - http://www.odsl.org/odsl-will-not-schedule-games-for-the-fall-of-2021-and-indefinitely-going-forward )

The trend in NOVA seems to be consolidation.
I suspect CCL has only one year of life left in the area.
ECNL R/NPL and EDP seem to be the preferred platforms for the top teams in the area that are not ECNL or MLS next. NCSL can handle all the rest.

Burke beat SYC who are either ECNL-bound or MLS Next-bound.

Yeah that sounds better.

FA cup always has surprises. This is the part of the beauty of watching soccer games.
Soccer mom pumped up by her son's win, it is fine until gets carried away to display her stupidity.

It just shows how none of these teams are so much more elite than they think and claim to be . I hope this humbled the BRYC followers and put some respect on Burke AC and the NCSL .

BRYC has been 90% on the ropes for years. Not a surprising thread.

I can respect the team and coach, what I can’t respect is a babbling parent that probably can’t tie his/her own shoes.
