Ummmm. #1:. The 07 team that Burke beat 1-0 was not their ECNL team but their second - Elite Academy team. #2: You also forgot to mention that the second BRYC team won the bracket while Burke finished 4th. So, back to the drawing board on cheap shots, Skippy!

As talented as Burke might be, you the parent are killing any respect they may have earned. I’m sure they are hard working young men, but you took time out of your day to trash an entire league. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. Beat NCFC, Arlington, VDA, Richmond, etc...then we can talk.

+1 And the academy second team would struggle to beat the bridge team at the same age level. I'm not sure if they could actually after watching both of them. But thank you for bringing the facts.

All that said, could the Burke AC top team go toe to toe with the BRYC ECNL team (which lost in finals of the top flight)? Probably.

It is BRYC 07 ECNL team.

As normal neighborhood clubs' game, the players played well, and they are classmates and friends. Boys performed well, friendly, and showed respect for each other.
Somehow there is bad blood between parents from both teams.

So you have this.

Really?

My kid's EDP team beat many top academy teams in 'premier leagues' this weekend, including ECNL teams from NY. They won the tournament.

It's not the league, it's the players/team/coach.

BAC United 07 did well in top bracket. BAC United FC did not so well in bottom bracket of 07. How is that for confusing?

The top division of the Virginian 07 Group had have some interesting results. Burke did beat BRYC ECNL and they tied McLean ECNL. SYC MLS Next team beat Burke 3-0 and BRYC beat SYC in group play but then lost to them in the finals. SYC MLS Next guest played Alexandria's top MLS Next player. Why would SYC MLS Next team feel the need to guest play a rival MLS Next team's top player to play in the Virginian? Seems odd. He's going to DCU so it wasn't a recruiting maneuver. Anyway...Burke also has two wins against SYA and a win against Skyline who I think are top CCL teams also a win against Beach top team. Burke plays Arlington ECNL in state cup semi finals this coming weekend. Might be interesting.

BRYC parent here. No that was our ECNL team that lost 1-0 to Burke. They are a talented group and well coached. Both teams played hard in the end they prevailed.

Same should be said to BRYC supporters lets talk after you beat those teams too.
