So do some white men, POC women, and POC men.

Lose the sexist language and call them loudmouths, bullies, jerks or racists.

OMG have you ever been wrong in your whole life? Cannot believe you are still at this!

Pot, meet kettle.

There are several of us. As long as you're here spreading misogyny, we'll be here to correct it. This con thing of always having to get in the last word is going to work against you here.

Imagine if you put that energy toward something worthwhile, like, idk...standing for people who are ACTUALLY oppressed. Wackjob

I went downtown to Lafayette Square and joined the protests. I'm listening to White Fragility. Truly doubt you did any of this.

What's your excuse? You seem to be all over DCUM with the childish emojis, 24/7, spending more time here than any other poster.

Lady I have a job. You're arguing with more than one person. And I read White Fragility years ago, and didn't just start protesting this week. Miss me with that bull.

Weird, White Fragility came out in mid-2018 but you read it years ago.

Do you still think it’s 2018?

Do you think mid-2018 is "years ago"?

I'm sorry I didn't calculate the precise number of months for you PP. Or maybe I confused exactly when I read it with any of the other books I have also read concerning race and equality, since I didn't pick up this subject in the last two weeks.

If you think the "enemy" is any white person who didn't read White Fragility when it first came out, you're going to be in for a lot of disappointment. People are trying. You need to give them some credit.

Top pp, why are you making common cause with conservative white men and women over the need to use an offensive meme to shut up white women?

1) I don't care about offending you. I believe white people could stand to be a little more uncomfortable.

2) This is an anonymous forum. Just because you all decided posters were conservative, men, etc. because that made you feel better about trying to shout them down, doesn't make it true.

Angry black woman. Karen. Tiger mom.

All labels that need to disappear.

And yet we have over 60 pages of hand-wringing on Karen and only Karen. I see through your crap.

That is literally the title of the post. If you want to make a new post advocating to end the use of the other terms - be my guest. I don’t use any of those terms.

+1. Start your own thread about other offensive labels. We'll join with you. Or spend your time more usefully on any of the numerous BLM threads.

I didn't bring up the book. I simply responded to a PP who trotted that out as evidence of her allyship. And I don't need to give people credit for anything. Please stop putting words in my mouth and trying to tell me what I need to do. You're not doing me or the black race a favor by educating yourself. You're doing what is required to be a better person, and you don't get a pat on the back for that.

You brought up the other labels, not me. I simply pointed out that we've got a 60 something page thread of injured white women whining, and I've never seen a similar outcry on DCUM over the others. Someone came for white women with a meme and you all lost your sh!t.

Little trick - when you respond to someone, take a look at the quoted thread above their post. Then you'll have the full context of what that poster was talking about before you try to gotcha them.

PP who "trotted that out." I'm still stunned that taking my family down to Lafayette Square isn't good enough for you. And that you chose to focus on a book that's been out 11/2 years and now you're saying reading that's not good enough either.

I never said it wasn't good enough PP! You listed it as though it was evidence of something, I disagreed. Then another PP said I needed to give people credit, and again I disagreed. You read a book and went to a protest. Great! That does not mean no one can ever challenge you on issues of race or entitlement ever again.

I never tried to say ever you can't ever challenge me about race, ever again. Not sure where you're getting that.

Trying to make me feel sh!tty for trying isn't a great approach. I went down with my family once and with some black friends the second time. They seemed to think it was a good thing, so I'll hold on to that.

Probably for other labels most people admit they’re bad and there’s not much to discuss. This one we are still have to make our case and being gaslighted.
