Jimmy Kimmel show cancelled.

With the success of Dropout still gaining ground, I'd love to see this. It's a different model, but it can work.

The same way the libs justify it when they cancel someone. No one is owed a job.

You really don't get it.

"Cancel culture" as you like to call it, is PRIVATE individuals choosing not to do business with certain people, or watching certain actors, or firing people b/c they don't like how their employees' views reflect on their business.

THIS SITUATION involves the power of the Federal Government coercing the networks and broadcasters to fire him. That coercion is patently illegal, the former is not.

Until you comprehend that, you should stop opining on this.

And yet, you are unable to prove it.

You've been told again and again WHO fired him and WHY.

You refuse to accept it. That's YOUR problem.

Like Dropout, which did well enough last year that it gave out bonuses to everyone who worked for them, including those that just auditioned but didn't get an offer.

Hey, nobody is a fan of CNN. People are fans of Stewart, Kimmel, and Colbert. But you already knew that.

I'm a lib and I hate cancel culture period. In the age of the internet, it's a dangerous thing. Before social media, if you said something stupid, you just had to deal with the local consequences. Sometimes things are bad enough that losing your job is right, but many times, apologies should just be made, lessons learned and everyone moves on. Now things get blown up to huge outsized proportions and entire lives are ruined. It's not right. People who participate in the online persecution are no better than the person that said whatever, and people who make death or rape threats should be prosecuted.

But MAGA have always been hypocrites, so their willingness to use whatever they previously wailed about doesn't surprise me one bit. They criticize and condemn when it suits them and forgive or ignore when it suits them. There is no actual moral code or decency underlying the decisions. Their goals are cruelty and vengeance and they don't care who gets hurt as long as someone does. Many call themselves Christians but they aren't. Not really.

It's an open and shut case. Brandon Carr set this in motion. That was clear to everyone. This is exactly how organized crime does business.

What do you mean you can't prove it. We have very public statements from POTUS and the FCC chairman. This is state-sponsored censorship. Get you head out of your a**.

Organized crime has traditionally been rampant in New England states, NYC, Chicago, Philadelphia, south Florida, and Las Vegas. He's used to it and comfortable with it.

The network removal of Mr. Kimmel’s show last week almost immediately morphed into a flashpoint for free speech in America.

Pressure works! Boycotts work!

I’m sure all the MAGAs will be happy with this since it’s a decision made by a private employer.
