Jimmy Kimmel show cancelled.

These shows have no viewers and gobble up tons of money to produce. They’re also obsolete. Celebs promote shows, movies, music and books on social media and YouTube.

+1 There was no discussion of Kimmel’s situation on the View episode the next day.

I don’t really watch the late night comedy shows, but it is super interesting watching the MAGAs in my life twist themselves in knots trying to justify this.

He's wearing Trump as a Golden Idol. MAGA truly is a blasphemous cult of derangement.

It's mind boggling how they don't see the hypocrisy.

The same way the libs justify it when they cancel someone. No one is owed a job.

Colbert has been on social media noting that he and others are getting a lot of suggestions to start their own media center, including Kimmel.

With the success of Dropout still gaining ground, I'd love to see this. It's a different model, but it can work.

They absolutely should.

I’m constantly shocked that we lost to maga. It is just that they are ignorant enough in the same ways that it allows for a large enough voting block?

This person probably actually thinks this and isn’t a troll, astounding.

Colbert, Kimmel, Stewart, whoever else gets the boot or is tired of licking boots. They should go no holds barred. Bring Letterman in, too.

Maybe a streamed BBC show.

I would pay good money for that instead of a couple other sites where I stream.

I've dropped Disney+ but am apparently going to have to phone in to cancel Hulu. By the scuttlebutt online, like many other people, I'm just finding the page reloading back to my account when I try to cancel Hulu subscription.

The difference is Republicans want state control over the media. It wasn't the free market that decided Jimmy Kimmel had to go. It was the government. Republicans today are no different than North Korean or Iranian state TV. And that makes Republicans dangerous and profoundly un-American.

It seems to be the opposite of what they supposedly want. Instead of less government, it's more.

More government regulations for the left, less for MAGA.

Liberals are ignoring this violent incident.
Fortunately nobody was killed by this crazy.

And MAGA ignored the right-wing nutjob Desmond Holly when he shot up Evergreen High School. Too busy being concerned about Charles Kirk.

Seems he was an extremist neo-Nazi. Not MAGA.
Also, you are off topic.

An extremist, neo-Nazi. In other words, the kind of guy who shows up for Trump rallies and Charlottesville type stuff.

Sure pal
You seem uninformed.

DP. But if some dark web trolling MAGA-raised with easy access to guns college drop out can be equated to the entire Democratic Party because he maybe had a trans partner then the proud boy esque white supremecists who show up at Trump rallies should be equated with MAGA.

If you want to blame liberals as a whole for the actions of some extreme fringe, then OWN the misogyny, racism, and violence that Trump enables.

You really don't get it.

"Cancel culture" as you like to call it, is PRIVATE individuals choosing not to do business with certain people, or watching certain actors, or firing people b/c they don't like how their employees' views reflect on their business.

THIS SITUATION involves the power of the Federal Government coercing the networks and broadcasters to fire him. That coercion is patently illegal, the former is not.

Until you comprehend that, you should stop opining on this.
